Miles’ deep curiosity about cultivating a holistic and sustainable yoga practice has driven him to explore a variety of training modalities beyond the mat. While yoga remains his foundational discipline, he is passionately intrigued by the body’s vast capabilities and how diverse movement practices can enrich and deepen one’s approach to yoga. This journey has led him to fall in love with hand balancing and to develop a keen interest in contortion and mobility training, broadening his understanding of strength, flexibility, and body awareness.
Miles began his yoga journey training in the Ashtanga-Vinyasa system, which laid the groundwork for his disciplined approach. He then immersed himself in the dynamic Rocket Vinyasa system, completing over 250 hours of training. These experiences have shaped his teaching style, which balances the structure and discipline of traditional systems with a playful, exploratory approach. By drawing inspiration from his broader movement studies, Miles creates a unique “playground of exploration,” inviting his students to expand their practice with creativity and curiosity.
