Everyone suffers from mild stress and anxiety from time to time; chronic stress drains the body’s energy resources and keeps it in a constant state of anxiety. The effects are magnified when the body is not exercised.
Yoga relieves stress because it promotes relaxation, which is the natural opposite of stress. This two-hour workshop will introduce some simple yoga practices that can help you find balance and calm down the stress response. These include physical postures (asana), breathing techniques (pranayama), yoga nidra (deep relaxation) and meditation.
This restorative workshop is all about letting go. It is designed to release tensions on the physical, mental and emotional levels.
You don’t have to wait to feel stressed out to do yoga – and you shouldn’t. People who do a little bit of yoga each day often find they’re better able to handle things when life gets a little crazy!
